We all know that search engine marketing, it's one of the most lucrative ways to market a website online.
The horrible truth is that only a small portion of keywords will ever yield you any profits. I hear experts claiming to rank high for high traffic keywords all the time. 90% of SEO experts are not doing this, I can guarantee you that. It's cool to have a lot of traffic coming to your site but if you can't convert that traffic into sales, well you have a problem. After doing your keyword research you want to include one more step.
Detect Online Commercial Intention
This is basically the likelihood that the person searching for a particular keyword will make a purchase. You can find out this percentage by using Microsoft's free commercial intent tool.
To me this is considered GOOD SEO!
Let's say for instance you have 100 daily visitors and only 1% make a purchase. That's only 1 sale a day, due to the fact that your traffic is not qualified. Now let's say that same traffic is coming from keywords that have a commercial intent. Your conversions would at least jump to 5%, giving you 5 sales per day instead one! You just quadrupled your business by taking this one extra step.
